About

A view from the studio in Maine.

Deborah lives in mid-coast Maine in a farmhouse not far from Casco Bay. Her studio is in a converted barn and from the windows she looks out onto open fields, beech trees and birches. She’s studied, worked and lived in California, Vancouver, B.C., Stockholm, Sweden (where she trained in art and textile design) and Boulder, Colorado. Her first home in Maine was on an island where together with her family, she built a house and lived for 12 years.

Recently, her life has grown to include a tiny shore front cottage and studio at Ship Cove in farthest northwestern Newfoundland. From her porch she can see icebergs in spring and humpbacks in summer. This place is her refuge and inspiration when she needs less clutter and more latitude than even Maine can offer.
