Fiber Art
I Make Hats. Sometimes I make pillows and other wearable and functional artwork,
but they’re all just other versions of hats, only closed up. Green Point Design hats comfort the head and soul, like soup. Their texture gives us something to hold onto when times are troubled. Strange and deep colors point the corners of our mouths northward, where so many good things seem to happen. The attitude people wear when they look at, touch, and try on a hat makes what I do feel worthwhile. An anecdote, a memory, a part of me, is woven into every piece I create. Just the thought of color and texture wakes me up each morning… the studio overflows with edgy and mystery yarns, fibers, fabrics and found objects, waiting just waiting for me to dive in. Sometimes I get so distracted that I forget why I’m in there. Some days I hardly come up for air.

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
